American Government begins by defining the basic principles
underlying the U.S. system of government as well as governmental terminology
used throughout the world. The main body of the course examines the entire U.S.
Constitution clause by clause and analyzes how each clause has been interpreted
and implemented through the lens of U.S. history. An examination of the
functions of local governments within the U.S. follows the study of the federal
government.
